The Pilot Miyabi Pen Set

These pens celebrate the 80th anniversary of Pilot which was started in 1918.

These pens called Shijin, which means, four gods. A plain barrel of either red or black Urushi lacquer over brass is adorned with a wide band on the cap, which bears the four ancient Chinese symbols. They are the Blue Dragon for the East, the God Bird for the South, the White Tiger for the West and the Snake and Turtle for the North. The Chinese believed that the four Gods formed the small cosmos. Each pen has a specially marked "80th" nib available in medium and broad point and is presented in a black lacquer box complete with leather pen case, ink bottle and writing paper.
