Miyabi, translated into English means genteelness. There are three motifs in this series which flourished during the ancient Japanese dynasty of the Hei-an period between the 8th and 12th centuries. The first is called Kai-Awase, which is a shell game; the second is called Bugaku, which is Dancing Music; and the third is called Soushi-E, which is picture book. These pens are fashioned from an ebonite material and are available in medium or broad nibs only. Each pen is housed in its own specially designed Urushi lacquered two piece black box. Inside you will find a leather drawstring pouch to hold the pen along with writing paper, envelopes and a special bottle of Pilot ink.
